Pilocka Krach still means nothing but Pilocka Noise. She's the charming queen of Berlins Post Techno Underground and a true Recording & Perfoming artist. Her new release on her very own imprint Greatest Hits International is a conceptional framed double vinyl album and a journey diary of her last two years on tour around the globe, with Mexico, Detroit and her hometown roots in Berlin as fixpoints on her neverending agenda. Pilocka Krach is „Sugar Cane“ & „The Lost Amigos“, her band and all at once. Her style is pure electro post rave simplicity, where each single sound is either raw sampling cuts or deep growling synthesis. Big basslines meet funky grooves and surprising hooks, grooving along with her own voice and a lot of other vocal features, whereever you go. Each 'n everthing gets the room it deserves and mingles alltogether to so much more, than just another stereo sum. Never heard an album that dry and that wet at the same time, with an overall fun and jam factor, that is truly touching. She took her original style more than just a few steps further and sharpened her skills in an impressive and real straight forward way of raw funkyness and true storytelling. You can't listen to it without moving. Pilocka is always surfing the right balance of how much, or better how less it needs, to keep it going, get down to the point of no return and beyond the miracle of repetition. Pure oldschool sounds never sounded that fresh and never, ever 'been told that way before.

Danceable as usual, when Pilocka Krach is composing a song. Spoken words paired with finest electro-beats,
which reminds on a modern version of Anne Clark, but with less melancholy but surely with the same amount of subtlety.
David Bowie will never die is a good example for the fact, IDM works also on 4/4 beat.
It’s clever, danceable and with a dash of humour.
I dance, therefore I am. My name is fame could be the response to David Bowie’s classic ‘Fame’. At the end he’s singing, “What’s your name?”. And who or what is called fame,
Pilocka Krach numerates a lot of possibilities in a very creative way.
From famous people to the point of drugs, glamour or feelings – they all are potential candidates for fame.
Even the listener becomes famous.
With the pilockaesque krach-beats the fame is floating directly in the legs. A modern classic – an oxymoron dressed in electronic raiment.
So, what’s your name? Everybody’s name is fame! - Let’s Dance! Be Svendsen Remix is a felicitous mélange of playful and smart synthesizer-flute-arrangements with a (break dance) vocoder voice à la Max Headroom.

Die menschenscheuen Eigenbrötler von Der Tourist wagen sich mit einem erneuten Aufguss der griffigen Formel "geil" zu uns -
nach "richtig geil", "leider geil" und "Geiz ist geil" kommt nun: "supergeil".
Ärger geht es nicht.
Geil wird das neue "Liebe" der Popmusik.
Und dafür mussten sie natürlich erst einmal Friedrich Liechtenstein treffen,
den dauergrinsenden Tanzopa und Bärenbezwinger aus dem Solomun-Video "Kackvogel".
Der nun auch noch singt - und das kommt sehr gut an.
Denn der verrückte
Bartträger kann nicht nur tanzen, sondern verfügt auch über eine beeindruckende Stimme.
Der Song "supergeil" ist aus einer
reinen Sauflaune entstanden und - entgegen aller bisherigen Versuche von Der Tourist - sehr massentauglich.
Ungewöhnlich für
die zwei, drei kauzigen Kopfmenschen aus Berlin, die den Song persönlich nicht besonders gut finden, sich aber nun halbherzig
ins miese Geschäft mit der Popmusik werfen.
Sei es drum.
Was die Zukunft für Der Tourist bereithält, weiß nur die Zukunft.
Oder um es mit den Worten von Der Tourist zu sagen:
"Wird schon".
Als Außenstehender kann man sich des Eindrucks jedoch nicht verwehren: Hier haben die richtigen Leute Spass.
